This year, volunteers from the PHINMA Group joined the Department of Education’s Brigada Eskwela 2018. Among the volunteers are employees of the PHINMA Group of Companies, students from the PHINMA schools, and scholars from the PHINMA Foundation. This week-long activity involved cleaning, repairing, and painting classrooms and common areas in public schools.
PHINMA’s CSR Council and the HERO Network worked together to mobilize 463 volunteers and were able to serve 55 schools, 225 classrooms, 1,190 teachers, and 26,371 students.
Paying Forward with the PHINMA Scholars
The education graduates of the PHINMA National Scholarship (PNS) are highly encouraged to work in public schools. This year, the PHINMA Group chose to support these graduates in public schools by joining their Brigada Eskwela in their respective schools. Among these alumni are Regine Esquilla of Ninoy Aquino Senior High School, Ronalie Asto-Coco of Caloocan National Science and Technology High School, and Jasper Angeles of Sitero Francisco Memorial National High School.
