Fourteen scholars from the PHINMA National Scholarship graduated this past school year. From this batch, 6 of the education majors from the Philippine Normal University-Manila Campus graduated with honors – 1 Magna Cum laude, 4 Cum Laude, and 2 others were recognized as top students from their respective departments. There were also 3 scholars who are set to graduate this June from the University of the Philippines Diliman with degrees in Civil Engineering.
Jenny Rose Clemente, a scholar from PNU, spoke in behalf of the graduates. She shared about what she learned during her four years as a PHINMA Scholar and challenged her co-scholars to think about their roles now as professionals and citizens of this country:
Together with the PHINMA Executives, scholarship donors, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, the members of the scholars’ families also graced the event.
The PHINMA National Scholarship now has 154 graduates in the fields of education, engineering, and accountancy.
