PHINMA National Scholarship Welcomes Its 12th Batch of Scholars
This school year, the PHINMA National Scholarship (PNS) welcomed 22 new scholars from the Philippine Normal University, University of the Philippines, and its newest partner school, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. The scholars were awarded their scholarship grants during the PNS Annual Banquet held at the PHINMA Plaza on September 20, 2017. The PNS program has 137 graduates who are now professionals in the fields of education, engineering, and accountancy. PHINMA Foundation, Inc. President, Mr. Roberto M. Lavina, had a special message for the scholars when he delivered the opening remarks during the program, “It is no coincidence that you are here today, dear scholars. Each one of you was picked because we believe in you. We have chosen you to become our allies in spreading PHINMA’s mission of making lives better. Moreover, we are confident that, like those 137 scholars who have graduated ahead, you too will become leaders who will be living examples of PHINMA’s core values of integrity, competence, professionalism, and patriotism.”
During the Banquet, the PHINMA Foundation, Inc. also awarded this year’s “Making Lives Better” Awardee, Ms. Jan Alliana Rubio, a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Philippine Normal University.This award is given to a recent graduate of the PNS Program who is recognized as an exemplary student, an excellent leader, and has been true to the PNS Pledge of Commitment.
